Speaker: Ishita Barua (BD/NO)

Dr. Ishita Barua is a medical doctor, tech entrepreneur, and award-winning researcher with a PhD in AI in medicine. She was a guest researcher at Harvard Medical School and received His Majesty the King of Norway’s Gold Medal in 2024 for her groundbreaking AI research.
As co-founder and Chief Health AI Officer at Livv Health, she is at the forefront of AI-driven healthcare innovation. She has been recognized as one of Norway’s 50 Leading Women in Tech and was featured on Kapital’s "40 Under 40" list of emerging Norwegian business leaders in 2025. Dr. Barua is also the author of the bestselling book "Artificial Intelligence Saves Lives" and a regular columnist for E24, Norway’s leading digital business newspaper. With a unique blend of medical and technological expertise, she is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare.

Speaker: Ebonita Baldeh

Ebonita Baldeh, Woman of the Year, is the author of the book SOLD - My Way Back, an artist, and also known from the SVT series Lerin in Lofoten. Between the ages of 6 and 8, Ebonita was a victim of sex trafficking by a close family friend. When everything came to light, Ebonita was confronted with a culture of silence that had existed for generations. Her life was filled with ignorant parents, bullying, a painful silence, and eventually, Ebonita turned to drugs to cope with living. With heavy steps, she navigated through life and was thrown into a world of darkness and destructive relationships. Today, she is drug-free and shares her story to raise awareness and inspire strength.

​At SHA Conference 2025, she will share her story as part of a session that underscores the healing power of storytelling, reminding us that one voice has the power to transform communities.

Speaker: Yema Ferreira (AO/DK)

Yema Ferreira is an Angolan Psychotherapist, facilitator, and writer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She runs a private practice where she helps Black women redefine their identities, heal trauma and reconnect spiritually. She also runs the Black Women’s Sanctuary, an online community based on the same principles of reclaiming identity, history, and divinity where she supports Black women in the transformative journey of returning to Self, personal liberation, and the work of building our own tables.​

Black Women’s Sanctuary: Redefining Sisterhood for Collective Success w. Yema Ferreira

At SHA Conference 2025, Yema will lead “Black Woman Sanctuary”, an interactive breakout session where participants will collectively explore identity, history, and liberation. She´ll show how personal healing can become a force for community transformation, and how individual stories of resilience weave into collective strength.

 

This is more than a talk; it´s a sanctuary within the conference.

Speaker: Ziada Ayorech (UG/NO)

Dr. Ziada Ayorech is a Psychiatric Geneticist and Lecturer at the PROMENTA Center, University of Oslo.

With extensive expertise in the field, she aims to bridge the gap between genetic research and the broader community. Her work is centered around demystifying genetics, making it accessible and relatable to individuals from all walks of life.  Ziada's commitment to empowering academic institutions, clinicians, mental health organizations, and the public with essential genetic literacy underscores her belief that understanding genetics is crucial for navigating complex human behaviors and enhancing our most meaningful relationships.

Speaker: Sadia Manirumva (BI/NO) 

Sadia Manirumva is a Norwegian author, speaker and entrepreneur, originally from Burundi. She is the author of Friskmeldt (2025), a powerful story of breaking free from debt, shame, and financial stress to create freedom and ownership of one’s life. Through her journey, Sadia inspires women to rediscover their WHY, take control of their finances and believe that freedom is possible – even when it feels impossible.

Marshalee is a Jamaican-born social worker based in Oslo, currently working with Utekontakten i Bydel Gamle Oslo. Known for her warmth, natural charisma, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she brings both heart and purpose to every space she enters. 

Marshalee is a dynamic communicator and natural crowd-connector known for her vibrant energy and effortless presence both on and off camera. With a gift for making people feel seen, heard, empowered and celebrated, She is undoubtedly a cultural ambassador for Black and Brown people—a role she embraces with pride and authenticity.

Head stylist, creative director and speaker: Grace Iche (NG/NO) 

Grace Iche is the brilliant mind and artist behind all of the excellence we all saw at the 2023 Edges and Drinks hair and cultural show. 
As someone who derives joy from making women feel and look confident and beautiful, we are beyond grateful to have her with us as E&D continues to take shape.

At SHA Con 2025 Grace will present "Identity, Confidence and Enclothed Cognition." In this empowering session, Grace will explore the deep connection between fashion and identity,
demonstrating how our clothing can serve as a source of resistance and
self-affirmation, ultimately enhancing our emotional well-being.
